Project Overview

When Dominion Divers called, we bundled up and followed their crew onto the frozen Red River in -40°C weather to document a high-risk underwater operation. Tasked with removing a dead line for the City, the Dominion team cut submerged pipe using dive-grade saws beneath thick river ice — a display of raw skill, teamwork, and technical precision.

Our goal was to tell the story not just of the project, but of the company itself — a crew with decades of history, deep roots in Manitoba, and unmatched underwater expertise. Through on-site cinematography and interviews with the ownership group, we created a compelling brand film that highlights the grit and talent that define Dominion Divers.

Showcasing Canada’s most seasoned dive contractors on a winter mission beneath the Red River.

The Conditions Were Brutal

Between the biting wind, frozen gear, and near-zero visibility underwater, the conditions pushed both our crews to the edge. Dominion’s divers worked beneath thick ice in full dive suits, coordinating pipe cuts via helmet comms while the surface crew ran the show from a makeshift barge setup. No second takes. No reshoots. Just one shot at getting it right... and they did.

Telling Their Story, Their Way

This wasn’t just about documenting a project... it was about capturing the soul of the company. We paired high-impact footage with candid interviews from the ownership group to create a cinematic “About Us” piece that speaks to their heritage, their people, and their standard of work.

We delivered:

  • A long-form brand film
  • A fast-paced hype edit
  • A full suite of photo and drone assets

The content was created for full versatility... marketing, recruitment, internal storytelling... all built to grow with them.
